Visualizing Load Capacity for Selecting Appropriate Transformer Capacity

At a renewal of cubicle-type high-voltage substation, it was difficult to select an appropriate transformer capacity because the current load capacity was unknown.

We introduced the Clamp Power Meter KEW 2062BT, which features a compact design and Bluetooth® communication capability.

By installing KEW 2062BT on the secondary side of the cubicle-type high-voltage substation and measuring power, we were able to determine the existing load capacity and select the appropriate transformer capacity. We highly value its compact and portable design, as well as the ability to connect to an iPhone for viewing and management of measurement data.
In the future, we plan to use KEW 2062BT to monitor harmonic noise generated by inverter equipment used in our factory and to help determine whether noise countermeasures are necessary.
