Situation

We had been using an older clamp meter, which made it difficult to take measurements in areas with densely packed wiring, making circuit checks more time-consuming. Since it did not include multimeter functions, we also had to carry a separate card-type tester, which required the additional hassle of winding and managing test leads.
Solutions
We introduced the Digital AC clamp meter KEW 2200R, which supports TRUE RMS measurements and features a slim, thin teardrop-shaped clamp sensor along with a multimeter function.

Compared with our previous clamp meter (a non-Kyoritsu model), we no longer need to bend the wires for clamping around even in hard-to-reach areas, such as the neutral terminal of a 1P breaker, and this allows us to perform circuit checks with confidence.
We have more situations in on-site inspections where a single KEW 2200R is sufficient, allowing us to reduce the number of measuring instruments we need to carry. In addition, its TRUE RMS capability improved the reliability of the measurement results.
