Ensure a smooth handover to customer after checking EV/PHEV charger
Situation

There was an installation job for an EV/PHEV charger, but although it was installed, we were unable to verify whether the charger was functioning properly, so we had to confirm proper operation using the customer’s PHEV.
Solutions
We introduced Multifunction Installation Tester KEW 6514BT, which offers the following measurement/test functions: voltage, continuity test, insulation resistance, earth resistance, phase rotation, and EVSE (a variety of tests for EV chargers).
We also introduced EVSE Adapter KEW 8601, which simulates an electric vehicle (EV).
Customer Reviews
We previously had to hand over EV/PHEV chargers without being able to test them before delivery, leaving us unsure whether they would operate properly; however, we can now hand them over to customers with confidence.
Also, we were able to carry out inspections efficiently using a single multifunction installation tester, without having to carry multiple testers (an insulation resistance tester, an earth resistance tester, a voltage tester, etc.).
In one case, we installed an outdoor EV/PHEV charger at a customer's request. During commissioning, we were able to perform insulation resistance, voltage, and earth resistance tests using a single Multifuncion Installation Tester.
