Quickly check analog signal transmission without shutting down the installation
Situation

We had been using a multimeter to check analog signals on equipment such as I/P converters. Since the multimeter had to be connected in series with the equipment, it was necessary to either shut down the equipment or prepare additional wiring in advance. As a result, troubleshooting typically took 30 to 60 minutes.
Solutions
We introduced the DC milliamp clamp meter KEW 2500, which can measure simply by clamping the jaws around the cable.

Since this instrument only requires a simple operation, namely clamping on the cable, we were able to reduce the analog signal investigation time from 30 to 60 minutes to approximately 1 minute.
