When transferring the data between the model 6300 and the personal computer, the display indicates "Timer out error". |
Please check if the model 6300 function switch is set at SET UP range.
When communicating with the personal computer, it is necessary to set at the SET UP range.
| 5. |
Recorded data cannot be transferred to the personal computer. |
Only the recorded data in the internal memory can be transferred to the personal computer via the USB cable. The recorded data in the CF card cannot be transferred directly to the personal computer. To transfer the recorded data you have to use the card reader model 8319.
*Other card readers available in the market are usable.
| 6. |
When inserted the CF card, Model 6300 does not recognize the CF card. At the setting for CF card at the item No.19 to select "use" or "not use", the key indicator can not be changed from "off" to "on". |
Do you use a CF card which Kyoritsu did not check and confirmed the operation?
Please refer to here for the CF cards which Kyoritsu checked the operation with Model 6300.
Are you formatting the CF card via computers?
It is possible that a CF card which was formatted via a personal computer cannot be used with model 6300. Please format the CF card which was formatted via a personal computer or the brand new CF card as per the procedure described in Setting 20 (Formatting of CF card).
*When the CF is formatted, all the data recorded in the CF card will be deleted.
| 7. |
How to reset the file number starting with "001"? |
It is possible to put back the file number to 001 at the Setting 23 (System reset).
CAUTION:
All the customized parameters should return to the initial value. And all the internal memory will be deleted.
If the same file number "001" already exists in the CF card, the former file will be overwritten.
| 8. |
The recorded data did not remain. |
At the W range, the data will be saved by pressing the SAVE key each time.
However, when you finish the measurement, if you set the function switch to the OFF position directly from the W range, the file will remain open and the data will not be saved. Be sure to set the function key to any ranges other than the OFF range from the W range in order to close the file.
When you manually stop recording at the Wh or DEMAND range, the saving symbol "FILE" appears in the LCD display.
If the function switch is set to OFF position during the "FILE" appears in the display, the measured data will be recorded.
Be sure that the "FILE" symbol is off from the display, then change the switch to the OFF position.
The recorded data in the internal memory will be deleted when the system reset (Setting 23) is used.
Be sure to set the function switch at the OFF position before you insert or remove a CF card from the unit. If the CF card is inserted or removed with the switch being set at the ranges other than the OFF range, it is possible that the data recorded in the CF card is damaged.
If the AC power supply is interrupted and the batteries are not incorporated, the data under measurement will be lost.
In the case of using batteries, in case the batteries exhaust, the 6300 automatically save the measured data. Therefore, it is recommended to install the batteries in the 6300 even if using AC power supply.
| 9. |
"Err.004" appears on the LCD when power is ON. |
The internal battery may be exhausted.
Please make contact with Kyoritsu or your local Kyoritsu distributor.

| 10. |
Even if trying several times to set the clock at the current time, it becomes incorrect. |
| 11. |
The measurements are in a big error. |
Please check that you set the right clamp sensor type at the SET UP range (Setting 04). It should be same as the clamp sensors which you use for measurement.
This SET UP range (item No.04) is to set the type of clamp sensors you will use but not to set the current range.
For example: (M-8124:1000A, M-8125:500A, M-8126:200A, M-8127:100A, M-8128:50A)
Be sure to use the same type of sensor when you use more than one sensor. It is possible to connect maximum 3 clamp sensors at one measurement, however, it is possible to use one type of clamp sensor.
Be sure that the test leads are connected correctly to the voltage input terminals. At the single-phase 3-wire and three-phase 3-wire measurement, connect the test leads at VN (blue), V1(red), V2(green) at the voltage input terminals. Connect the lead at V3(black) terminal only at the three-phase 4 wire measurement.

Current can be measured but voltage cannot be measured ("--- V" indication) |
It is possible that the frequency of the measuring voltage is not within 40~70Hz.
| 13. |
"0A" is indicated in the display when measuring the current. |
At the current range (Setting:03), "0A" will be indicated when the value is less than 1% against the selected range. When the current range 100A is selected, and if the value is less than 1A, "0A" will be indicated in the display.
At the CT ratio (Setting:06), if the CT ratio is set to more than "1", the "0A" will be displayed for the 1% x CT ratio or less against the current range.

| 14. |
Although without regenerative electric power, the active power (W) indicates minus value. |
Please check if you clamp the sensor in reverse direction. Clamp the sensor so that the arrow symbol on the clamp sensor points the load side.
| 15. |
The reactive power (Var) or Power factor (PF) measurement indicates minus. |
The minus indication on Reactive power and Power factor means the phase lead (the phase of the current moves forward against the voltage.)
Without minus indication means the phase lag.
| 16. |
Neutral current (An) is not displayed. |
Neutral current will be displayed in the case that the wiring is set to three-phase 4-wire (3P4W) at the Setting:01.
| 17. |
When starting to measure the integration power, the recording starts after the previous measured data. |
If you do not want to remain the integration value recorded previously, please press the ESC key at least 2 seconds or reset the previous data as per Setting:12.
Reset of integration value (Setting:12) is not to delete the internal memory or the previous data which is recorded in the CF card.
| 18. |
How to check the instantaneous value while measuring/recording the integration value. |
In order to check the instantaneous value of the voltage, current, power factor and etc while measuring/recording at Wh range, it is possible to check the value by changing the switch to the W range. It will not affect the data under recording even if the range is changed to the W range.
| 19. |
Is it possible to measure only the voltage? |
It is possible to measure the voltage only connecting the voltage sensor but not connecting any clamp sensors.
On the other hand, it is also possible to measure only the current by connecting the clamp sensors but not connecting the voltage sensor.
| 20. |
Recording does not stop at the stop time and date which are set. |
It is possible that you pressed the START/STOP key for 2 seconds or more when you start recording.
When the START/STOP key is pressed 2 seconds or more, the mode will be manual operation. Therefore, the setting of stop time and date will be cancelled. If set the start time and date to automatically start, press the START/STOP key once less than 2 seconds.
In case the recording even does not stop at the stop time and date which is set, please make contact with Kyoritsu or with your local Kyoritsu distributor.
