Answer
1. The pointer does not deflect when testing BATT. CHECK.
Check the battery voltage.
If the voltage is low, change it to a new battery.
2. POWER-ON INDICATION LED does not light up when testing insulation.
Check if the batteries are set appropriately.
Set the batteries propoerly.
Check if the test leads are firmly inserted into the terminal of the instrument.
If not, insert the test leads firmly into the terminal of the instrument.
3. POWER-ON INDICATION LED does not light up when testing AC voltage.
POWER-ON INDICATION LED will not light up when testing AC voltage.
4. The pointer deflects only at testing BATT. CHECK.
Check the continuity of test leads.
If there is a break, replace the faulty test leads.
How to check: Set to the resistance range and short the test leads.
5. The instrument sounds when measuring.
This is normal condition.
The transformer inside may generate sound, when testing with a high voltage.
6. The pointer moves abnormally.
  For Analogue only
The cover over the pointer may be electrized. Wipe the cover with the cloth or apply the antistatic additives or the detergent diluted with water.
7. When the power is tuned on,
nothing is displayed in the LCD.
  For Digital only
Check if the batteries are set appropriately.
If no, set the batteries propoerly.
Check if the battery is exhausted.
If yes, replace with new batteries.
 
If your tester still has a problem even after checking these points,
please ask for repair to Kyoritsu's sales representatives in your country.
