History

1940 Mr. Takeo Kuramoto established Kyoritsu
Electronic Research Institute and started
to manufacture electric materials.
1950 Incorporated and named Kyoritsu Electrical Instruments Works, Ltd.
1957 The Headquarters and Factory were moved to the present site,
Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
1965 Succeeded in development of clamp type alternating current-voltage-
resistance meter and started it's manufacture and sale
1970 Ehime Factory at Uwa-machi Higashiuwa-gun of Ehime Prefecture was
completed.
1979 Uwajima Factory at Mima-cho, Uwa-gun of Ehime Prefecture was
completed.
1984 Mr. Masamichi Kuramoto took the post of President and Director succeeding
Mr. Takeo Kuramoto.
1985 Osaka Office was established.
1987 Kew(Thailand)Ltd. was established with investment of 100% capital by
Kyoritsu, and the Factory at Navavakorn Industrial Estate,Klonganung,
Pathumthani, Thailand was completed in December.
1989 The construction of the building for the Headquarters was completed.
1993 Ehime Factory was awarded certificate of approval to ISO 9001 Quality
Standards.
1995 Sendai Office was established.(Integrated to Tokyo sales office)
1996 Kew(Thailand)Ltd. was awarded certificate of approval to ISO 9002.
1999 Uwajima Factory was awarded certificate of approval to ISO 9001 Quality
Standards.
2001 "Kewmate 2000", a digital multi meter with AC/DC open clamp sensor,
was awarded the prize of Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI)
in the Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2001.
2003 Kewtech Corporation Ltd. was established.
2003 Shanghai Rep. Office was established.
2007 Nagoya Office was established.
2008 Kew Europe Office was established in Italy.
2008 KYORITSU SHANGHAI TRADING COMPANY LIMITED was established.
2008 Uwajima factory is closed down and it unifies to the Ehime factory.
2012 ・DC milliamp Clamp Meter "KEW2500" sales started

・Consent N-Etester "KEW4500" recieved the award on
 "Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2012"
 produced by Japan Electrical Construction Association. 
2013 Earth Tester "KEW4500" was developed and won
the technological Innovation prize of Shikoku Industry & Technology Promotion Center.  
2015 ・Kew(Thailand)Ltd. , the 2nd factory was completed.

・The 75th anniversary of the founding of Kyoritsu. 

・Kyoritsu Instruments Asia Pte Ltd. was established in Singapore.
2016 Ior Logger "KEW5050" recieved the award on
"Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2016"
produced by Japan Electrical Construction Association. 
2017 Insulation Testers "KEW3441BT" recieved the award on
"Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2017"
produced by Japan Electrical Construction Association. 
2018 Electrical outlet Testers "KEW4505" recieved the award on
"Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2018"
produced by Japan Electrical Construction Association. 
2019 ・Opened Shikoku Office (sales office) in Ehime Prefecture

・Portable Appliance Testers "KEW6206" recieved the award on
 "Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2019"
 produced by Japan Electrical Construction Association.
