  Mr. Takeo Kuramoto established Kyoritsu
  Electronic Research Institute and started
  to manufacture electric materials.
  Incorporated and named Kyoritsu Electrical Instruments Works, Ltd.
  The Headquarters and Factory were moved to the present site,
  Meguro-ku, Tokyo.
  Succeeded in development of clamp type alternating current-voltage-
  resistance meter and started it's manufacture and sale
  Ehime Factory at Uwa-machi Higashiuwa-gun of Ehime Prefecture was
  completed.
  Uwajima Factory at Mima-cho, Uwa-gun of Ehime Prefecture was
  completed.
  Mr. Masamichi Kuramoto took the post of President and Director succeeding
  Mr. Takeo Kuramoto.
  Osaka Office was established.
  Kew(Thailand)Ltd. was established with investment of 100% capital by
  Kyoritsu, and the Factory at Navavakorn Industrial Estate,Klonganung,
  Pathumthani, Thailand was completed in December.
  The construction of the building for the Headquarters was completed.
  Ehime Factory was awarded certificate of approval to ISO 9001 Quality
  Standards.
  Sendai Office was established.
  Kew(Thailand)Ltd. was awarded certificate of approval to ISO 9002.
  Uwajima Factory was awarded certificate of approval to ISO 9001 Quality
  Standards.
  "Kewmate 2000", a digital multi meter with AC/DC open clamp sensor,
  was awarded the prize of Ministry of International Trade and Industry(MITI)
  in the Electrical Construction Equipment and Materials Fair 2001.
  Kewtech Corporation Ltd. was established.
  Shanghai Rep. Office was established.
  Nagoya Office was established.
  Kew Europe Office was established.
  KYORITSU SHANGHAI TRADING COMPANY LIMITED was established.
  Uwajima factory is closed down and it unifies to the Ehime factory.
